Top Adhesives for Bonding ABS Adhesives such as cyanoacrylates, two component epoxies, structural acrylics and polyurethanes are suitable for bonding ABS.
What is ABS glue used for?
Weld-On® high-strength, Low VOC* ABS cements are specially formulated for rigid ABS pipe and fittings in all classes, schedules and fittings having interference type sockets. These medium-bodied cements are widely used for drain, waste and vent systems (DWV), conduit and sewer applications.
What kind of glue do you use on black ABS pipe?
Black ABS Cement is a specially formulated medium-bodied cement that bonds ABS pipe with fittings for non-pressure applications. It has excellent gap filling properties. Set time about 30 minutes. All Oatey solvent cement and primer products are certified to UL Greenguard Gold.
How long does it take for ABS glue to dry?

Can PVC and ABS be glued together?
That spells it out pretty clearly, yes? ABS to PVC cement is only meant to connect an ABS system to a PVC system. What happens if you use PVC glue on ABS pipe?
The only connection that refused to come apart was the ABS to ABS; the plastic would probably rip apart before that connection would fail. Again, an ABS to PVC glued connection isn’t technically correct, but this connection is highly unlikely to fail.
Does ABS glue need primer?
Primer: Primer is used to clean and soften the surface of the plastic to ensure a good solvent weld. It’s used with both PVC and CPVC, but is not required with ABS.
