Is the AT U-verse a router or modem?
The AT U-verse Pace is a two-in-one. It is both a cable modem and a router, thus eliminating your need for a cable modem and your monthly rental fee. The router can be used with cable internet plans up to 300 Mbps.
Can you buy your own router for AT?
AT Internet service requires the use of AT leased equipment ($10 mnth). As stated, you can add a router behind the leased gateway but you cannot replace it. U-verse TV is no longer available for new customers. Current U-verse TV customers can continue to access their service here. DIRECTV STREAM offers live and local sports games in more markets than any other live streaming service.
