Limited Admission tickets are for park entry only and are $26.95 (ages 13+) and $18.95 (ages 3-12 yrs.) And, as always, children 2 and under are always free! *Some attractions are seasonal. Who made WCS?
When WCS recognized its 125th anniversary in 2020, it also addressed its historical role in promoting racial injustice. This includes the treatment of Ota Benga and the racist, eugenics-based ideals perpetuated by two of WCS’s founders, Madison Grant and Henry Fairfield Osborn.
Who funds the Wildlife Conservation Society?
Public support comes from the City of Oakland and East Bay Regional Parks District, which contributed 11% of the Zoo’s 2017 operating budget of $18.1 million. Remaining funding comes from the community that supports and enjoys the Zoo including private individuals, foundations, corporations, and memberships.
