Can you not loot alduin?
There is a brief moment where the option to loot Alduin’s body appears before he disintegrates, although he cannot actually be looted. It is possible, if Kahvozein’s Fang is equipped in the right hand, to harvest Dragon Heartscales. When Alduin dies, the Dragonborn does not absorb his soul.
Is there anything to loot in Sovngarde?
Even though they’re technically dead, the Detect Life spell will detect the heroes of Sovngarde, as opposed to the Detect Dead spell. It’s possible to kill the generic soldiers and Svaknir, and soul trap them. They and any loot on them will be despawned after Alduin appears.
What level should you be to defeat alduin?

Can you leave Sovngarde and come back?
So even if you could exit Sovngarde back, you would not be able to reach skyrim. Your best option at this point is probably to load an older saved game, before going to Skuldafn.

Skuldafn South Tower is a small dungeon directly connected to Skuldafn Temple area. It is found in the southwestern end of Skuldafn. Inside can be found a handful of Draugr of various level. There is nothing of importance besides a chest and two urns.
